Its been a long while since posting. But, here goes nothing.
A bit wishful thinking, a bit of humor, a bit of imagining of "what if?" An experiment of stretching out of my usual melancholy as well.
Sometimes we are so close to things, we do not know what we are looking at.
This poem is the first one that I have finished in a while....but here it is....
Imagination can be a dangerous thing....or an incredible comfort. A poem about chances in another time and universe.
I lost my grandfather when I was 12. He was an amazing man. This week marks 27 years that he is gone. I can still hear his voice.
This is my take on what depression feels like.
Reflections on the change I experienced this year in my career.
Our children change in how they need us....but we are always there.
A poem about love that waits for you to find it. I never usually rhyme, but I am trying something new again. Please forgive any imperfections.
This is the first poem that I ever put on paper. It was all downhill from there! LOL I wrote it for English class. English 2, we were supposed to write something “modern” based on Romeo and Juliet…..This was my version of a modern poem that Juliet might have written in her diary when she first met...
I lost a friend of mine when I was six years old. This poem may not be perfect, but it is for him.
For the little girl who made me a mom.
A poem about how sometimes when we find love, it can be wonderful and painful, but still worth the moments that we have.
This idea came about when I used a line from a less than stellar poem in another of my poems where I thought it sounded better. Do we all do this, or is is just me? -
This is different from what I usually write, so forgive me the experimentation....
A poem inspired by an experience that I had in my life. It looks very different now, thank goodness.
A poem about being in love and seeing the life that you both have ahead in the future
I usually write only poetry. But this is an article that I wrote about living with a family member that has MS. Perhaps it may help someone else or just be of some interest.
A poem about how we truly see the love of our life. It is not always how they see themselves. But I think that is how its supposed to be.
This is a poem I wrote about falling in love with the same person, over the years, in many different ways.
This is a poem that I wrote about how all that happens in our lives is connected by invisible patterns of fate.
This is a poem that I wrote about a very difficult time and the friend that helped me get through it.
This is created from an experience I had that will stay with me always. Some of us are lucky enough to live our own fairytale. Even if for a short time.
Sometimes, what we get in this life needs to be enough, even if we want so much more.
This is a poem that I wrote after experiencing one of those moments that you could live in forever. But, alas, time does not stand still for anyone.
These two poems were born from where the demons come. But sometimes we write to chase them away.
Sometimes we find ourselves in places that we never knew we always wanted to be.
These poems are about how those we love see us...and how we are capable of seeing ourselves
This is a poem about feeling a certain way your whole life and then it suddenly changes. Life in Wizard of Oz black and white and then suddenly in color. You don't notice until you look with new eyes.
I wrote these two poems a day apart from each other. In between, I lost something that I was lucky to have very briefly. The two poems come from the same place, incredible love.
A few poems about what we remember and what we have lost. Often the same things.
We wish for things everyday. Sometimes we get parts of what we want, and that has to be enough. Very often, it is everything.
This is a poem about wanting what we cannot have. The circumstances never change the longing or the desire. This is a personal favorite. Sometimes, poems are "gifted" to us. This is one such for me.
